I’m off to bed…it’s basketball season as far as I’m concerned now.
I’d put SMU in over Bama. 11-1 over 9-3 all day.
Louisville is #18 in MC. Winning on the road against them is undeniably a good win.
No to SMU and Army.
Pendejos.
Speaking of brand size……
Don’t be surprised if Bama’s brand size gets them in over SMU.
Not saying it would necessarily be fair, but don’t be surprised if it happens.
Can’t stand smu but if it happens it will again demonstrates that the cfp is an invitation and it is not based on sports merits.
After last night ASU should get a bye, good for our conference.
I hope it does just to further confirm suspicion.
Only ones that think Bama should be in the CFP is the SEC Gobblers and the fine folks at The SEC / Big 10 Invitational Presented By ESPN
The only way to solve this is that a team with three losses is automatically out of the cfp unless they win their conference…See if the sec and big10 accept this?
ZERO chance they’d accept that…cause…They’re The Mighty SEC, all shall knell before thy
Why would they accept that?
It means more over there. Therefore, everything else close to even, they get the spot.
Just thought of a great plan that would create the ultimate chaos in college football, will it ever happen? Probably not but here it goes anyway.
Only those that win their conference championship game can get into the playoff… period and they have to play a conference championship game. The only exception is the 2 at large bids which are open to anybody. That means (assuming the PAC returns) 10 spots are locked up by the conference championship winner and 2 are open to everyone.
As far as playoff seeding only the regular season can be considered. This would make both the regular season and championship game matter. Because if you win your championship you’re in period, lose, and you leave your fate in the hands of a committee.
Just imagine a MAC team stealing a SEC team’s spot, or an underdog winning that championship game and stealing a spot, ULTIMATE CHAOS!!!
Because it puts some benchmark. Like it or not there has to be some. Otherwise who is to say that a 8-4 sec does not belong more than a 11-1 g5?
That’s exactly what the SEC and B1G wants. They aren’t going to agree to something that goes against their own self interests.
Then there is no cfp.
They don’t care. They care about their conferences.
The CFP has always and always will be an invitational. Those two conferences have all the power and leverage.
