My veteran brother had access to free tickets for the Big 12 title game but I didn’t push him to go. We’ve seen Memphis, PSU, OU and Florida. It was expected to rain and parking is pricey.
Iowa State seems to have travelled well but ASU wouldn’t be too crazy. They’re more of a west coast fanbase.
To Yormark’s point, we’re skipping the ACC title game and going to the SMU bowl game. Many fans I know are doing both.
Not a fan of Smooo can’t stand them. Setting my feelings aside they got more than a fair chance of victory this Clemson team ain’t the same team of Clemson’s past.
Seats 80,000; expandable to 105,000 with
SRO. But agree it’s a big stadium.
Still, doubtful it will be close to last years
game.
The 22nd edition of the Big 12 Championship Game was held on December 2, 2023, and featured 84,523 people in attendance, a Big 12 title game record. The game was broadcast on ABC, drawing an average of 7.89 million television viewers.
I don’t think any of those combos get 70k fans except maybe BYU vs CU. UH fans would be very motivated as would TTech. TCU and Baylor are solid. KU, Arizona schools, UCF and Cinci not so much.
Oh I get that; but this is visually showing us
where the Big12 now stands in the overall
scheme. Hopefully future B12 Championship games will have the more favorable matchups folks have mentioned. Hopefully the viewership of the
2024 game will be good.
And it woulda been a better game, I feel for ISU not winning their conference since 1912; but they can’t score.
any combination of CU, BYU and ASU would probably be a better game. Although that said, none of the conference champ games so far, including the current MAC; have been close.
I think ASU fans are saving their time and money to go to the first round playoff game. THAT is going to be a real big deal and first time for the 12 team concept.
