Changes to Cougar Pride Benefits

Cougar Pride Members,
We are so excited about the growth and upward trajectory of Houston Athletics. Thank you so much for your loyal support of our student-athletes through your commitment as a Cougar Pride member. As we prepare for another great year, I want to ensure that you are informed of our recent changes to our Cougar Pride Annual Fund Benefits Chart. The Cougar Pride Annual Fund consists of Cougar Pride Football Per Seat, Cougar Pride Basketball Per Seat, and Cougar Pride Unrestricted Donations.

The current Cougar Pride Annual Fund giving year ends on July 31, 2025. The levels will be locked in, and the benefits will be recognized August 1, 2025 – July 31, 2026, including postseason ticket allocations.

Cougar Pride Benefit Chart Changes/Additions

  1. The 2025 Cougar Pride Benefits Chart has eight (8) giving levels versus 10 giving levels from the 2024 Cougar Pride Benefits Chart. We eliminated the All-Conference Level ($675 - $1,249). By doing so, we made the Varsity Club Level ($150 - $599) and the Captain’s Club Level ($600 - $1,249). Also, we eliminated the Loyal Coog Level ($1 - $149).
  2. At the All-American Level ($1,250+) and above, Cougar Pride members will be eligible for a 10% discount at the Team Store at Athletics events when presenting the Cougar Pride E-Membership card. The discount will not be available at concession stands.
  3. There will not be a Football Signing Day Event this upcoming year.
  4. At the Coach’s Club Level ($3,000+) and above, Cougar Pride members will receive an invitation to Cougar Pride Day. This event will be in the Spring of 2026, and details will be released later.
  5. At the Olympian Level ($17,500+) and above, Cougar Pride Members will be invited to the Gold Medal Social. This is a new event concept that will rotate amongst our Olympic sports. This year’s event will take place around a 2025 Houston Soccer Match.
  6. The Football Pre-Game Sideline Passes will no longer be given to donors at the Olympian Level ($17,500 - $29,999). This will be a benefit only offered to donors at the Corbin J. Robertson Level ($30,000+).

Biggest changes, at least that apply to me is:

  • No signing day event… makes sense a central signing day is a thing of the past.
  • Final Four tickets, only donors over $17,500 can request 6 and donors over $1,250 can request 4.

I got the email yesterday I think.

Would rather sit in my upper deck 50 yard line seats anyway.

I clicked the link to see the chart. Under the second to bottom for parking, it says eligible for football… Then the # symbol below it says must purchase in membership designated zone.

Does that mean that season ticket holder must purchase their parking passes instead of getting one included based on donation level?

I had not looked into parking for next year yet.

I was told when I renewed that I was still eligible for free parking in the garage (in light of my changed ticket order).

So, if that was right, UH is still giving parking for certain levels of giving.

I have no idea if those numbers have changed (or if the person with whom I spoke was correct)–just an FYI.

“Does that mean that season ticket holder must purchase their parking passes instead of getting one included based on donation level?”

All season ticket holders make a required seat commitment donation. Based on your level of your donation is where you receive your free parking pass. At a certain level of giving, your have the option to purchase additional parking pass, in the parking lot associated with your donation.

Thanks for the two replies.

I have had the free parking with donation level in the past so got the history. The wording just sounded different this time so I was curious about change, but it sounds like it is business as usual.

Here is the link and chart for August 2025 to July 2026.

Yes, that was the chart. The small text at the bottom by the # symbol said “purchase” which is what brought up my curiosity. Was just confusing wording for something included. I did not remember that wording being used in past years.

I asked about that and was told that as an All American level donor, I still get garage parking.

I am assuming the clunky wording was trying to say you can’t buy additional passes in a lot that is higher then your current level…

Always love that wording of “required…donation” .
