Can’t believe this news hasn’t made it here yet. I knew Early leaving would impact the DLs. Both really good players and good luck to them. Appreciated their time here
It has, under UH Portal Moves
and DL Justin Benton. One of the few big recruits recently. See UH Portals moves.
To Dots dad.
I’m sorry you guys have to leave but I appreciate everything your son did for the program. I truly believe if you stay we will be better (this coming from a person critical of the program under Dana)
If you guys stay I’m sure he’ll be a NFL draft player. I also understand the notion of everyone leaving. But the new coach had NFL experience and that’s something to your advantage.
Whoops…I can delete this post if necessary
Oh well, that’s the future of CFB. If you get good guys, you’ll probably only have em for a year.
It’s a crazy time. Everybody is running for the NIL money. It’s the new gold rush
All good, they are 2 big losses, that’s for sure.
Our D sucked this year we need new players and coaches. There were no stars except for Nelson. These guys can be replaced.
Sad but partially true!!!
I think all the kids should move on if they think it’s best for them.
Boy holgorsen really destroyed this program for the immediate term
God is apparently behind this according to the players tweets and not a bag of cash. The lord works in mysterious ways as they say, lol.
There will be a P5 market for Caldwell; Dot I’m not so sure. Dot is a little undersized for a P5 DL. He does have a lower center of gravity and wrestling background which some teams will like.
Whatever they decide they played hard for UH and I wish them well.
What are y’all talking about Chidoze was awesome. A big loss but i get it. I freaking HATE this new NIL college football era!
Right cause we can’t compete money wise I hate it also
Brace yourselves. This is just is the beginning of the NIL Gold Rush. We won’t recognize CFB in 5 years.
What will change in 5 years?
Dot and Caldwell were not problems on the D both were easily 2nd and 3rd after Caeser as contributors. Completely irreplaceable no, but not good for us at the current moment.
I mean our biggest problem was once a RB got past those 3 it was 8 to 10 yards before our safeties could come make a tackle because our LB’s were consistently non-existent.
Fritz obviously agrees with you. He’s not going to put up with mediocrity. That’s not the way he rolls.
Hope all these dudes that decide a transfer is best choose a nice Southern climate school–those Northern benches get really cold later in the season.
If you were him, you would do what he does.
Unfortunately, some people don’t have the mental capacity to see a thread titled “2024 UH Portal Moves” and put it all together.
