Classic CoogFans
Two years in a row losing to Tech when both games were winnable. There’s one issue. Losing in overtime in identical fashion two weeks in a row is the second as it proves our coaching staff is a not as on top of things as they should be.
Which classic Coog fan are you?
I don’t know anything but #10 should have caught that and he probably would’ve scored. We caught them on that and worked in ot. Let Dell run that play. But I don’t know what was happening. The coach had the players in positions to win the game.
Did anyone notice we came back from a 17-3 deficit at halftime? Way to go team! How many were already switching channels thinking it was only going to get worse? Yes we lost in 2 overtimes but much better than last year by far and in their house.
I tell you what, Funk…you let ME call the damn plays after we run that interception back deep late…I run the ball with our biggest toughest available back and run that CLOCK! When i’m done we have a first, run rhe clock down and kick to win, or no first, but we run the clock down to 20 or 25 seconds, not 1:21. and we STILL beat them…i am sick of losing games because we arent smart.
I’m with you. I don’t understand the play-calling all the time either. I wish we could get a bold soul to ask Dana the tough questions. I ain’t doin it!
No idea where you are getting the 1:21 (it was 41 seconds) and Tech had another timeout so the clock doesn’t change with 3 straight runs. I agree Campbell should have gotten it on 1st down, but he did only pick up 2 yards on 3rd and 9. Tech was sold out to stop the run on 1st and 2nd down. That WR screen should have been game over.
Newsflash…we didn’t lose 2 weeks in a row.
Not as cool as 4thandGoalFromThe50.com would be.
They had time outs, running the ball just guarantees that Tech gets it back. Not the end all solution some seem to think it would have been.
Had a bad feeling when we left :34 sec on the clock .Those feelings were confirmed. Went into OT and loss
I knew there was too much time left after the field goal. I thought they’d run the play clock down, or whatever it’s called to 0 and give us like 20 something seconds left, wasn’t that an a option, or am I way off base?
I said we lost to Tech two years in a row. Not that we lost two weeks in a row.
Sports fans tend to overreact to the most recent game, especially early in the season. I thought 3-1 would be good start to the season, and we still have a chance to do that. We need to play better against Kansas, and I think we will.
Coogs roll. Defensive dominance
Yes! No matter how much lipstick one puts on this pig, it’s still UGLY. It’s not that we lost the game, but the way we lost it. 4th and 20 aside, it should never have come to that. We should have ran the clock down to 5 secs and then kicked the winning field goal to end the game! This was a loss of which is inexcusable. There’s no way this one should have been a loss! Hope the coaches learned the pitfalls of poor clock management here!
We needed a first down to run out the clock, they had three timeouts so no way it gets to five seconds.
Since being invited into a P5, we have been acting just like horns . . . . . in several ways . . . . .
Coog fans should have high expectations. UH football should be top-20 most seasons.
Its like cooking chili. If you use only high quality ingredients and the chef knows what he is doing you should expect good results.
The Houston area offers many of the best athletes in the World. UH finally has good facilities. UH is paying high salaries. UH football is being supported by the administration. UH football has fine ingredients.
