That’s a nice looking truck Clay is standing next to. NIL is something that should have started YEARS ago.

Sponsorship opportunities for NFL level talent

I’m for anyone getting paid, who’s already a student-athlete on campus. Someone like Chandler Smith last year. Nowhere near an NFL talent but had a high social media following so someone gave him a deal.

Yeah John Granto was talking about that this morning. He said the samething as you the Coogs are using the Nil the right way. Granato does a lot of promos for Chastang Ford on his show and mentioned that Tune would be on weekly during the season as a spokesperson for them.

What’s the rule on that? Can Tune be interviewed as the UH QB and give a plug to a business at the end of the interview? Or does he have to work it in like “I hope the RBs run over them like a mighty Chastang truck”

Most NIL promos don’t involve players wearing team gear so wondering if promos can be done when you are representing your team in an interview.

Do they get blacked out F150s or what

Hopefully they’re cougar red

Good for them. Unlike many other schools, there is plenty of NIL opportunities in Houston.

If we continue to grow our program, I have no doubt we can be on equal footing among our B12 teammates

I love it.
Anybody considering buying a car?

Major props to Chastang Ford. How many other Ford dealership in the greater Houston area support U of H?

The Chastangs are coogs so that helps. Not sure how many other coog owned and operated dealerships are willing to help.

I absolutely love it that they actually put their own money to do so. How many Coogs owned business do this? Major huge/mega props to the Chastang.

Only one problem with that… Jealousy can affect those who aren’t NFL good then. Chemistry and such could be effected. Not saying with UH just other teams… I don’t mind if everyone gets a piece of the pie.

There is plenty of UH Coog Alumni businesses.

Ima airing for the day Marcus Sasser signs a deal with BB’s or something lol.

I’m willing to contribute to a group that funds a baseline NIL for all players. Any early signs that some group is putting something together?

This is the only UH collective I know of. Get info on them here.

Houston is a NIL hotbed

Chastangs are also some of the nicest people I’ve met via our shared love for UH. Good folks.
