Coach Sampson - new contract

Well for TW, it’s simple……no one else would want him.

I think Kelvin’s success on the basketball court, sending his players to the NBA, and getting high level recruits to coach, has kept Kelvin excited and energized to keep the program rolling. The competition in the B12 is top notch, which fuels Kelvin’s competitive juices to stay on top.

I don’t see Kelvin slowing down one bit. As long as he is in good health, I think Coach will coach as long as he wants to.

He deserves this contract. Our greatest sustained era in Cougar Basketball history.

I think its a fair question considering fan support.

A hometown reporter, who is a big ten alum. continually trying to steer our coaches to go elsewhere is not ok, regardless of the fan support.

Good lord… Kunkel is not trying to steer our coaches away. He’s giving them a softball question that they can hit and sell our university and showcase the programs they have built/are building here at Houston. Y’all gotta get the chip off your shoulders and take off the tin foil hat sometimes.

Kunkel is the only Houston TV sports anchor to go to Kansas City and report on the team this year. Like let’s get a grip here.

He repeatedly asks our coaches “Why not go to another program” Those aren’t softball questions. He did the same with Whitting the other day.

Agreed. It’s not a softball question. It’s a question that reinforces the notion that UH is an inferior school. You have to be looking really hard to even remotely suggest it’s a softball question.

That’s easily explained.

Dana left Kelvin his supply of Red Bulls.

No wonder our offense in basketball has scoring droughts just like Dana’s offense.
