Solid hire but needed to not blow large second half leads. UTSA loss at home was a killer. Was strong recruiter but how big did NIL help. Heard SMU’s top target two years ago was Grant McCasland who went to Tech. Now SMU wants to go “big game hunting.” Heard Lanier made under $2M per year.

Yuck! He can recruit but definitely hasn’t seemed to be able to coach. It seems like USC is a year away from firing Enfield. The USC east coach appears MUCH better but also more expensive.

Metrics wise he’s not elite at offense or defense. Top 30 defense is solid. But last year they were 199th in defense efficiency

See the complaining in the women’s sports section. We basically have abandoned a good opportunity for another successful program on campus. Women’s hoops in the big 12 is wide open but I’m assuming it’s a $$$ thing.
