Coincidental measure

By coincidence TTU plays Oregon State this weekend. We should get an idea of our relative strength with the Red Raiders.

I thought about that but Tech has something we didn’t, game tape.

We didn’t see the QB or much of their RBs, or WRs - or the new OC, DC, HC, etc…

I think it won’t matter. Either tech is soft up front or they gave the worst output from a physicality standpoint against a team like ACU that I’ve ever seen. Oregon State’s offensive line is gonna lean on them and they have a QB that can hurt a secondary that isn’t as good as ours.

Plus Oregon State didn’t do anything spectacular against our defense. Deep overs and wheel routes busted us.

I think tech is in more trouble than they think.

The same secondary that gave up over 300 passing yards?

Yes that one. Lol we have the better safety tandem and the better pair of corners.

They have us beat by one guy, Pollock. He’s legit.

Haha! I think Tech also shuffled around a lot of their guys. Two starters were out…as well as that 5-star kid from Georgia, who is evidently a beast.

Not too sure but it looked like they were going through their normal rotations of 1s and 2s. I didn’t know about the 5 star kid, i thought he was in their next class. Lol shows what i know.

Still think Oregon State is gonna make them sweat. 5 star, 1 star don’t matter. Chainsaws will be out in Corvallis.

Maybe but hard to read too much into that. The transitive property or college football doesn’t always work very well.

I am curious to see how the OSU QB and their OL perform against teetech. How they evolve during the game. They sure did against us. I was very impressed by the OSU QB reads. That is going to be fascinating to me and will be an interesting indicator on how the teetech defense actually reacts, their coaches included. How does teetech defensive reacts, evolve during the game is a gold mine for our DC and OC.

Yep. They definitely schemed up a few pass plays that had us confused.

That QB is legit though. Even with some idea of what they can throw at you, he will give the Red Raiders some issues.

Tech has game film where we had none - none on the QB, starting RB, WRs, OC, DC and HC.

We know Shiel Wood is a good DC. His plan will be a ton more developed than Houston’s ever had a chance at being.

Of course and I can’t wait to see what I mentioned. The entire OSU coaching staff did a great job. They too have tape on teetech. Remember OSU has nothing to lose. This is a great opportunity for them.

I did not know who would be our punt returner, but looks like the Oregon State transfer has it.

I thought he did a good job. There was one where he maybe played it a little too safe and signaled fair catch too early, but those OSU guys were looking for a chance to tee off on him, so probably a good call.

Trent Walker

Except versus back shoulder deep curls, TE seams routes, and RBs out of the flat. He has yet to solve that riddle. Even at Tech.

They’re gonna make him sweat.
