Iâm just thankful weâre a part of this!!!
Feels good to have a seat at the table!!!
Change is comingâŠand it might not be pretty. We shouldnât be too surprised to see more government regulations of this increasingly âprofessionalâ sports endeavor. And we shouldnât be too surprised to see a players union, coaches and players salary caps, revenue sharing, maybe redistribution of wealth, etc.
We donât start winning and getting butts in the seats we are going to be under the damn table and out on our arses
NIL is by definition: getting paid.
Like or not we have to realize that college football is a pro sport now.
A school offering incentives to a player entering the transfer portal is professional transaction. The nfl is ecstatic they now have AAA nfl and they did not spend a dime.
The NBA has their DL league.
The MLB has AAA, AA. A and other mino leagues.
The nfl now has the big10, sec, acc and BIG12. Soon enough they will have what they always wanted two super leagues.
2 super leagues is where market forces are pushing this, is true. Possibly of 20-24 teams each league. Which means some schools are going to be on the outside looking in like Washington State and Oregon State
and us if we do not position ourselves with the right hire. We have to get to AAU status ASAP. I truly believe that Fritz can get us highly competitive quickly/next season. I canât believe Tulane got these four stars transfer portal. This tells me Fritz has a well oiled/organized program machine. I pointed that his son is basically in charge of it. That is an awesome sign to me. Speak about being involved from top to bottom. This is exactly what we need NOW.
Yep we stand a chance of being one of those on the outside looking in schools if we donât get our act togetherâŠ
Donât need AAU status just wins and fan attendance
We need eyeballs thatâs all that matters to the media rights folksâŠeyeballsâŠ
Wins of course but if the BIG10 comes calling we take it. To get that call we will AAU status.
Iâd rather not have a team than play that game. If it isnât a college team anymore then by definition everyone is a T shirt fan. Some of yâall already sound like it.
Itll only happen if the government steps in on NIL. Just watch. Itll happened in 2 years.
Cant go back to regulating pre NIL days in any sort of way like limiting it.
Greed will mandate that the government steps in. They are sucking the joy out of college sports. When most of these senators and congressmen teams are âleft behindâ, they will step in and stop it.
If you donât have a seat at the tableâŠthen you are on the menu.
I think we have a seat near the table. We need wins, facilities, NIL, and we will be at the table for sure!
Why do we always need the government to step in? I hate the way college sports is going, but the problem will eventually take care of itself. I think the left outs will quit watching and reduce the total number of people watching on tv.
Thatâs your solution; that is something taking care of itself?
Thatâs a crappy outcome.
