Its gotta be Chuck Weatherspoon running a draw play for a TD with no one within 10 yards of him.
Parish was on the verge of winning the Texas Tech game by himself.
@DannyCougar, If picture is art, then that picture of Weatherspoon shredding the Texas defense is a masterpiece.
Those are the worst uni combos
You know i used to hate these uniforms but in retrospect they are kind of clean
Wilson is one of my all time favorites. I donât think heâs playing anymore. Injuries
Brandon Wilson will forever be known by UH fans for one play against Oklahoma. The Kick 6. Wilson looks like he was shot out of a cannon. 109.5 yards. Never gets old.
Great athlete. Also remember them moving him to running back because of injuries and him rushing for 100+ yards if my memory is correct.
Thatâs still one of the most iconic plays in UH history.
CorrectâOne that will live forever. You just had to be there to really get the feel of the crowd and the gameâthought I was going to have to call lifeflight for my coog wife when that play happened-they would have had two patients for transport, but we both would have had huge grins they couldnât erase!
We need (should now have) that type of coaching and excitement again!
In 76, we held whorn to something like 25 or 30 yards rushing for the dayâŠWhitley was the most dominating defensive force i have ever seen. He spent the whole day in Texasâ backfield. They hadnt lost a conference game at home since 67,and we just destroyed themâŠFUN day to be a CougarâŠ
Yeah, our backfield had some injuries and Brandon came in against Navy and Temple and rushed for big yardage and helped us win both those gamesâŠGREAT playerâŠ
He also had that TD return at Louisville the season before and also played running back when needed. Awesome player.
Yes and the last time before that they had not won at home was the 20-20 tie in 1968 against the Coogs.
That was a game where a TD was stolen from Paul Gipson. Some things never change.
