Could be a good time to take BYU land and hopefully other teams in our conference

Looks Tulsa has land in 4 different states but not their own. Probably don’t see that very often.

Who is the purple panther or other cat that covers West Texas,New Mexico and Oklahoma?

K-State - one of the Big 12 leaders

Isn’t it Kansas State?

Yep

Is the map indicating wins in those specific areas?

The map indicates a team from that state who lost to the team currently controlling it or the previous one controlling it.

Ex. If utep lost to uab they would take whoever’s land utep beat before the played uab and then if we played them or a team that beat them and took control we would take their land.

Every team starts with the counties closest to their campus, every game, if you win you get the land that belonged to who you beat, you lose, you lose all the land you own.

This map asks the question, “What if college football games were played for more than just wins and losses, but also for land?”

Each FBS team is given a territory to begin the season, and if they lose, the team that beats them takes their land. Teams are then always in the process of trying to either regain land or expand their land by beating teams that have land.

The territories for each team are determined by which school is closest in straight-line distance to the geometric center of each county

No, that is Waco. They don’t beat the whorns until Nov. 7, and then they will have to fight OU, TCU, and probably Okie State for the UT territory. After that, they will have to keep it from Kansas, Iowa State, and Kansas State who all may also beat the whorns. Since WV has already beaten BU, they don’t have to worry when the bears continue the whorn misery (if they actually play). The whorn nation is miserable, life is good.

We need SMU, Tulsa, and Cincinnati to win out before we play them in order to expand our territory.

(I’m not taking into account games they play against each other.)

I love this map.

This map is like GO or RISK. If we beat BYU Friday do we take over part of Utah?

Why does Rice get Bay City?

What did UAB do to get the Rio Grande Valley? Did they beat UT-PanAm?

How does Air Force get New Orleans when we just beat Tulane? Air Force didn’t play Tulane…

Then why don’t we own the New Orleans area after we beat Tulane?
