I have been keeping track of the ranking systems and how they performed in predicting games.

The premise of my study:

Every ranking system gets 25 votes (their top 25 team ranks).
By the order of their team ranks they have 25 game predictions.
Ranked teams should beat unranked teams.
Higher ranked teams should beat lower ranked teams.
Lower rank teams should lose to higher ranked teams.

Coaches, AP, and CFP are 8,9, and 10 out of the 10 rankings systems.

Not overly surprising to me. CFP has an agenda to maintain. AP is mostly just a bunch of talking heads that also have agendas to support. Coaches should not have the time to spend on analysis, so some athletic department assistant probably picks for them.
