The beginning of the 2016 fall semester brought a brand new college to the University of Houston. The college of the Arts, led by interim Dean Andrew brings all of UH’s acclaimed arts programs from the college of liberal arts, and puts them under the same umbrella.

UH President and Chancellor Renu Khator said she discussed her vision for the university and its arts education with Kathrine McGovern, who took art and design classes at UH in the 1950s and 1960s. Her donations have benefitted arts schools, centers and programs around the city.
