We all know why these aggressions are done and left unpunished. The wnba has a choice. Referee each team (including players) the same way. Then let see if these continuous aggressions stop.

From what I’ve been told by those I have known who played, women’s sports in general tend to allow more physicality because they — justifiably — have a bit of a complex about being seen as “less tough”.
Sure, sure and that rite of passage ends when? Shaq is entertaining and has made a ton of dumb comments. Hopefully you remember the Pistons. The nba “adjusted” Do you have nba teams today playing the same way that the Pistons did? The answer will be no. I love physical play, love it. But clearly nba refs adjusted too
The wnba wants to keep Clark or Cunningham getting mauled? That is their decision.
The Pistons played rough but the refs called these fouls and we all know the Pistons reacted. That is not the case in the wnba right now.
If the Fever are being beat up so much, how are they settings scoring records this year?
The NBA changed after the Knicks and Pistons, to get scoring up but the Fever have scored more than any team in WNBA history,
Let’s give the Ladies credit and stop thinking men need to step in to protect them
Their own female leadership should calling for the games to be called fairly. Not calling for protection, only fairness. They are scoring at that level in spite of the uneven refereeing.
I need to break down and watch one of these games.
Just catch a few highlights. I can’t watch a game either. I follow both sides of the dispute on X. It does give a broader perspective, but in my opinion, there are a lot of serious questions about the quality of the refereeing and the direction of the league.

Those of you that seem to be following the games or watching regularly, what team are you rooting for and why?
Which league would you point to with the most consistent refereeing?
Because I’ve yet to see a game in any league called where no fan was upset at something that happened

Good point although I would say that fan satisfaction with referee decisions doesn’t necessarily correlate to consistency of decisions.
Looking for objectivity from fans about refereeing is a fool’s errand

For Adam Silver to say there are other girls (his words not mine… I would refer to them as women) with similar skills that are jealous because they’re not getting the limelight that she is I would point to this…
Sorry, not sorry… other women aren’t doing that…
And that is why they’re fouling the sh!t out of her… everybody knows in basketball that if players can’t beat you on the court fairly then they start to foul… plain & simple.

I can’t lie this topic is pretty hilarious. Somehow has turned into the victim hood of Cunningham and Clark 
. I’d venture to say everyone in this thread is the target audience for Clark and Cunningham and most have never watched the WNBA until the appeared. I won’t go too deep into this, but there’s a definite bias for them in the media and society because of their race. Cunningham isn’t a top 50 player in the league, yet she has more media attention than Aja Wilson.
Clark is just trying to hoop, but unfortunately she carries a lot of baggage due to her early fame and expectations. All great young players will get tested, and she CRIES a lot. There’s no bias against them from the league, that’s made up yt folks to make them the victim somehow. There were great yt players way before her but she got the attention because she went against Bayou Barbie and it became an instant race thing. It’s unfortunate, but she has such a huge following simply because folks like to think that she’s the yt savior. Meanwhile, she’s not the best player on her team. I feel bad for her. She’s become the face of yt fragility and she didn’t ask for that. She just wants to hoop

Fastest player EVER to reach 1000 points, 250 rebounds and 250 assists and she’s not the best player on her team…?
Must be a really good team…
Idk because I’ve maybe watched a combined 5 minutes of WNBA and most of that has been Cunningham highlights…

Yea Kelsey Mitchell is their best player. Clark is also the fastest to turnover records and she takes way more 3’s than anyone in history. Respect to her, she can hoop. But the numbers don’t tell the whole story
