Having not followed the WNBA, who on Clark’s team is considered better than she is?

Mitchell. I’d say she’s an elite scoring guard. CC is also elite, don’t get me wrong. It’s like Mitchell is prime Dame and CC is Trae Young imo. Great passer but also will turn that ball

It feels like Caitlin Clark has a little bit of the Ronaldo thing going on where she brought a bunch of extreme casuals to the sport just to watch her that treat her like anything bad that happens to her is a grave and unprecedented injustice, and anything she does wrong is someone else’s fault.

Idk because I haven’t watched so I don’t have an opinion on how she compares to her peers…
But when you’re setting “FIRST TO DO SOMETHING/FASTEST TO THIS AMOUNT OF” stats… not regular leads the team in x stats, or even the league…
But when you’re the fastest to 1000 points, 250 blah blah…
You’re doing something unprecedented and it speaks for itself imo.
Oh… but she shoots more shots than anyone previously… why? Why is she changing how the game is played…?

Clark gets fouled a lot because she’s good. It happens in all sports, good players get fouled. People are looking waaaaaaaaay too much into this.

For the record, I find the WNBA fun in its own way, much like I enjoy watching women’s college hoops from time to time. I can’t compare it to the men’s game, it’s just a very different way of playing the sport to me.
The prospect of the Comets coming back is very exciting, and given the current rising popularity of the WNBA I think it will do great in our city.
What team do you currently follow or root for?

Because the three wnba talking points have been:
- Inconsistent to horrible officiating
- Talking point banned by coogfans
- Talking point banned by coogfans
Even other sports figures point out how bad the wnba referring has been.

I’m watching Clark’s team on ESPN right now.
Clark definitely looks like her team’s best player, but I’ll allow that I only have a sample size of one.
The issue with her is the turnovers. She’s great but she turns it over a lot. Some of that is a byproduct of how she plays though.
Her defense isn’t great either.
She’s leading the league in assists and is third in scoring
Less than 2:1 assist to turnover though which is the general good baseline.
She handles the ball a lot and is aggressive which is going to drive up turnovers. You’d like to see a better assist to turnover ratio. It has improved over time though.

What that article says is pretty consistent with what I said.
There’s also her defense which is easy to overlook in the stats. Look, she’s amazing but has her weaknesses too.
