According to news reports, RFK jr is concerned about measles outbreak, encourages vitamin A and cod liver oil. Silent on vaccinations.
He wasnât silent on vaccines in his letter or public address. More lukewarm than Iâd hope but not silent.

Yea. It was a bit empty though, as he then said nutrition is the best course of action for health. A bit ridiculous when talking about infectious disease prevention.
Edit: word
How about virtually or almost silent?
It was very lukewarm. TX HHS statement was more emphatic about benefit of vaccines and even listed sited where to go.
RFKjr just leans too much into pseudo science. I continue to struggle understanding how people can be so âquestion the scienceâ yet donât question pseudo science and embrace conspiracy theories based on the flimsiest ideas.
Itâs certainly not how I would have said it. Just showing what he said.
State now reporting 198 cases, up by 40 cases from stateâs report a week ago.
So still spreading it would seem, or is this just
reclassification of previous illnesses or post anslysis discovery ?
March 7, 2025
The Texas Department of State Health Services is reporting an outbreak of measles in the South Plains region of Texas. At this time, 198 cases have been identified since late January.

We are also now at the window of seeing potential positives from the person who was positive and was at TxSt and the SA riverwalk while contagious.
States March 11 update says up to
223 cases now. Thats 25 more since 3/7 update. Read elsewhere New Mexico
has 30 confirmed cases.
The Texas Department of State Health Services is reporting an outbreak of measles in the South Plains region of Texas. At this time, 223 cases have been identified since late January. Twenty-nine of the patients have been hospitalized.
I hope it doesnât get as bad as the New York measles epidemic of 2019. There were 1,300
cases.
I think that was total in the US in 2019. ~700 in NY, nearly all in NYC. Vaccination rates were also an issue in that one.
NYC is the worst place for any kind of outbreak. The density dooms them.
That episode was handled by mass vaccinations. This was pre-covid, when we still had faith in medicine. So we have a less
dense population area but more density in the
other sense.
There are quite a few new variables since 2019 for sure.
But lets not lose are ourselves when this outbreak is nowhere near the New York outbreak of 2019.
Letâs keep calm.
So numbers are 250( New Mexico + Texas) now vs ~700 then.
Nobody is losing their head; the state of Texas is publishing the updates twice per week. Does that alarm you ?
But indeed some are sticking their head in the sand on the less than robust vaccination rates we have here now. And some head in the sand folks canât understand why that is.
You should be able to get a two dose MMR vaccine, which will cover the measles, no matter if you had it or not as a child. They actually recommended it for those at risk, which it seems you might be.
Hereâs a story from the father of the child that died. Itâs behind a paywall but they are part of the Mennonite community there. Such a sad story.
Iâm not getting my booster until I know you got yours. I want mine to work.
