The time to figure out who works well is over, conference play begins. Looking at the schedule January is manageable but come February thru March the schedule looks to be brutal and will a 3-4 team brawl. I think we will be tuff enough but there will be heartburn along the way.

What 2-3 teams will give us the biggest fight?

2 or 3, I think more like 5 or 6.

Arizona, Iowa State, BYU, Kansas and TT all look like contenders to me.

We play IS, BYU and Kansas on the road with no home game this year. Home and away with TT and Arizona home.

Anyway you shake it, that is a tuff road to hoe.

I think this years conference winner could have 3 losses. And of course, the tournament is again basically a home game for Iowa State.

Coogs finished 40-3 in calendar year 2025.

Anyway, back on topic… The Big 12 is loaded… some of these road games are going to be brutal. Let’s see what happens.

The conference is going to be really good and we are very young.and we play a ridiculous road schedule.
When all the smoke clears we should be in the top three or four but more importantly we should be primed for the Big Dance.

There’s 5 games I look at. If we go 0-5, which I doubt, then I see us finishing 13-5.
One team I look at that could put it together for a tough road game outside of those 5 is Baylor. We are going to be fine.

get out of phog allen at 12-3 and we have a shot even if we have to share the title though we gotta play with some consistency sooner rather than later

We could finish anywhere between 1st and 5th.
AZ is legit. TT beat Duke. Iowa State stout. BYU is tough. Hell, Kansas will always be Kansas. And there’s usually one break out team that upsets people. Toughest schedule since Sampson arrived. IMO

And the most suspicious RB team we’ve had in a long time. Damn, we need Sahko and Lath to grow into big tough men.

I hope we keep improving but these other teams are looking pretty salty so far this year.

Barring key injuries I see us getting better as we move on.
But right now I’m just hoping we can get that opener at Cincy
