According to Johnathan Givony only 71 players entered the draft this year compared to 106 last year.
A byproduct of that is that Emanuel sharp is now listed as a 2nd rounder pick instead of undrafted while Milos Uzan is just outside the top 60 slots listed since he had a down year. I am happy that there is good chance one or both of them will get drafted now.
To be clear thatās 71 early entrants, not total players in the draft. But still better odds. Jeremy Woo, of ESPN, has them both getting drafted late 2nd. They both have an excellent chance, will depend on combine and individual workouts. Late in the draft some teams will look for potential and draft bums, others will look for proven winners.
