We finally have a pretty decent crop of former Coogs in the NBA. Love seeing these guys getting some run.
Spurs may acquire neglected $27 million Pacers forward in low-risk, high-reward summer trade (i.e., Jarace Walker)
Story by Dean Simon
The San Antonio Spursā 2024-25 season will most likely see the franchise miss out on the postseason for the sixth consecutive season.
The announcement of multiple season-ending injuries or conditions sidelining first-time All-Star Victor Wembanyama, San Antonioās superstar trade deadline acquisition DeāAaron Fox and even the teamās legendary head coach Gregg Popovich did plenty to derail the campaign, as the group currently possesses a 28-38 record and the Western Conferenceās No. 12 seed.
As a prospective member of the Spurs, their coaching staff could possibly unlock Walker and allow him to compete in a more consistent role within the lineup.
If paired with Wembanyama in spot minutes, he could prove to be a difference-maker on the defensive end while displaying clear offensive skill and feel for the game.
By potentially acquiring the all-around athlete, the Spurs could perform one of the biggest trade steals in the franchiseās history when all is said and done, as Walkerās true potential may know no limits.

Jarace needs to be on the court.
Saw him celebrating with the coaches and the team after the Tennessee game.
Watched the video, he didnāt throw a punch. DiVincenzo and Reid started the whole bruhaha. Hopefully theyāll be suspended for the rest of the season.
That seems like TMI.
At 4:22, he pulls his arm back and it goes forward quickly. Canāt confirm if itās a punch
I think itās going to be tough to crack the lineup in Indiana. The problem is that they have about 4 or 5 players that play the same position. Siakam, Toppin, Nesmith, Mauthurin. Jarace wonāt get starters minutes unless he makes significant progress and plays himself ahead on those guys.
Definitely not a punch. Unfortunate that he got tangled up in some of it but the majority of the video he was trying to pull teammates away and deescalate. Hopefully the league punishes the Minnesota players heavily.
Iām glad they didnāt show video of that partā¦
Youāre right, doesnāt look like a punch, especially from the angles around the 5:34 mark. Looks like DiVincenzo kept pushing Marcus and Marcus kept pushing the arm away
I expect heāll probably still get slapped with a game or two but hopefully the league saw what I saw. Really felt like for the majority of the ruckus, Marcus was playing peacekeeper.
Gonna need a bigger floor mopā¦
1 game suspension handed out to Sasser
