That was not a well-executed pitch.

Desperation move, starting your closer usually does not turn out well.
On a positive, McGinnis can absolutely rake….too bad he’ll only be here one year.

Down 7-1 in the top of the 8th. (went to 10-1 while I was typing)
This inning has featured a leadoff walk followed by a pitching change. The new pitcher promptly threw the ball away trying to pick the guy at 1B, moving him to third. The next batter singled to drive in that run. After getting one out, that pitcher just gave up a 2-run bomb. It’s now 10-1.
And we have 3 errors in the game.
Edit: 11-1 final.
It’s possible that we may not be very good.

Hoffman is off to a great start. Doesnt have blow you away type stuff but is a true pitcher. Make him the Saturday or Sunday starter. He should have started today.

Pretty disappointing for baseball. I like Whitting but I hope the next coach makes an emphasis on winning the Big 12.
