Cotton Bowl Poll

I just hope both teams don’t have fun.

Ohio State. Please.

I think Ohio State is undefeated at the new Cowboys Stadium ever since it opened.

Ryan Day’s problem is that Michigan lives rent free in his head. He coaches differently against them versus everyone else.

Texas vs OSU? Two of the most insufferable fan bases in all of sports? In Dallas no less?

Can I vote for Team Giant Asteroid?

  • once the Big 12 representative has been eliminated.

There’s still money on the table for the Coogs as long as one of Conference mates advances

Has there ever been an OSU head coach that lost to Michigan 4 straight times and still kept their job?

Only Cooper comes to my mind.

They’ve only had three coaches lose to Michigan 4+ times in a row in the last 100 years (that’s counting Day). None of the previous ones were fired the next season and neither will Day.

They might have won by that much if they had showed up for the first half.

Just to piss you off :sunglasses:

Day has beaten virtually everyone else he has played. If he can win the NC this year, his job will be safe for a while. Cant imagine the Michigan streak would last much longer, but stranger things have happened.

Texas because OSU vs either of the other two teams would feel too regional. And not in a good way like Florida State - Florida in 1996.

Texas v Notre Dame would draw eyes from most corners of the nation. Texas v Penn State feels like a classic title bout from the 60s/70s that also has pizzazz. The Richard Nixon grudge match.

Notre Dame is the only team left I actually like. Texas and Ohio State are in my top 3 least liked teams in the country and Penn State would be in the top 10 disliked. Ugh.
Teams I dislike, ranked:
T1. Texas
T1. Texas A&M
3. Ohio State
4. USC
5. Alabama
Somewhere around 7 or 8- Penn State

Texas QB, Ewers (sp) will lose the game for UT just like he almost lost it against Arizona State.

Hope so . . . . .

UT in Texas with ESPN wanting an SEC team…home cooking will catered by officials.

i think the offesive coordinator and former ucla+oregon coach; that has them on blowing out competition. i dont think ohio state will blow texas out but i think ohio state wins by 10 or better on their ability and texas can make miscues on offense; they are not lethal on every snap. i hope that is not wrong, really hate to see ut the national champ on the first 12 team playoff.

Ryan is coaching for his job lol
He was the only playoff HC on the hot seat entering the playoffs.

I thought he would be the first playoff head coach to get fired under the new 12 team format.

As long as Day can’t beat Michigan his job is in jeopardy.
