Cougars Head to LSU for Tuesday Game

Cougars tip off vs. Tigers in Baton Rouge, at 8 p.m., Tuesday… Game shown on SEC Network

TV: Channel 404-01 on Dish TV

Big game. COOGS should win this one.

This could be the game that starts opening many more national eyes to us. If we score a decisive win, I think we creep to the edge of the Top 25.

I am so ready to be consistently relevant in the national scene again.

LSU coach:

COOGS down 21-20 with about 9 to go. Struggling down low on both ends as LSU’s height is giving them problems.

32-31, COOGS with 3:14 left in the half.

COOGS struggling with rebounding as LSU is getting a number of 2nd chances. LSU also hitting 3’s while the COOGS are struggling from outside. Even with all that, the COOGS are able to run on this team and are getting some shots to fall. They’re also dealing with LSU’s physicalness.

39-38 LSU at the half.

Gray with 15, Dot with 8.

Need something from our bigs.

Something from our bigs? You’re kidding of course.

Nkali starting the 2nd half for Chicken.

45-40 LSU with 18:28 left.

Feed Davis and let him work

Sampson just tried to send Robinson to the locker room…not good

53-42 with 15:44 left. COOGS have no flow on offense tonight.

LSU were stuffing us in the first half. So many blocks. Go up strong guys!

61-49 LSU, 11:23 left. CKS trying to find a combo that works this half.

They cannot hit from outside tonight and LSU is very big, physical inside the paint. Still plenty of time but need to make a little run before they get inside 5 or 6 minutes

69-55 LSU with 7:22 left.

77-60, 3:34 left.

Final: 84-65 LSU

We were utterly dominated in the 2nd half.

  • Gave up 18 offensive rebounds
  • Outrebounded 44-26
  • Had 5 assists total for the game.
  • Gave away 13 turnovers
  • 8-24 (33%) on shots in the 2nd half

CKS has quite a bit of coaching to do after tonight’s game. I was really hoping we could make a statement. I guess we’re not quite there yet.
