Cougars Mailbag: RIP H-Town Takeover, banner watch and more

Q: Are we still in the middle of the H-Town Takeover? — @KlitsasLoren

A: In terms of the program’s usage, the H-Town Takeover is officially dead. The popular slogan, once plastered all over social media and at TDECU Stadium, has not been used for several years.

H-Town Takeover was Little Tommy Hermroid’s siren call to folks in Austin to “look at me, you need me!”

The “For the City” slogan in our hoops program is much more genuine!

I disagree respectively. #htowntakeover was extremely successful! It was one of TomAcres most marketable contributions. It was lit when it was trending. With that said. It’s no longer viable and dead to me now. I like #FortheCity too. I’m impressed with our Jordan brand endorsement also.

We should never give up any of our branding, whether we use it or not. Could always come back to it later.

And we should find a way to bring it back.

I think we should of mailed the banners to Tom Herman and there is something he can do with them. As The Rock would say “He can shine them up real nice, Turn them sideways”, and me paraphrasing to keep it PG, can shove them up a certain bodily place.
