On the women’s side, the Cougars notched four top-10 finishes and accumulated 37 total team points to win the team title. Meredith Sorensen led the team with a third-place finish at 13:57.89. The time marks a collegiate-best for the senior. Jahnavi Schneider collected a fourth-place finish, crossing the finish line with a collegiate-best time of 13:57.89, followed by freshman Darby Gaunt who concluded her Cougar debut with a fifth-place finish at 14:04.44. Regan Lobodzinski rounded out the top-10 for Houston with a tenth-place finish and career-best time of 14:25.84.
On the men’s side Devin Vallejo-Bannister led the pack with a seventh-place finish at 20:02.99. Jemal Wote crossed the finish line at 20:05.83 to take tenth-place and round out the top-10 for the Cougar men.
