Year THREE: with improved recruiting and nucleus, either win the Big 12 or secure an At-Large playoff spot to get experience playing on the largest scale.

Year FOUR, our CENTENNIAL year: Go All- In on NIL (a la TT). Open the season with a win vs LSU. Secure a playoff spot and WIN the National Championship!

Yes, we very well can win NC in both basketball and football in a 5 year span

Gotta win the Texas Bowl to really prove something and keep the momentum going. It’s not going to be easy, but a win would generate some buzz for the fans for next season and also help with the portal acquisitions in January. Huge opportunity to Fitz. We NEED our fans to show up for this.

Talked to an LSU alum in our office today.

They dont feel good about this game

  • disappointing season
  • coaching change
  • in their eyes. This is a downgrade in bowl from the playoffs
  • wonder how many of their players will opt out
  • no excitement from their fans

Similar to how we felt going into the Bowl Game against the SDSU Aztecs in 2016, shortly after Herman bounced from H-Town.

That’s because any bowl game that is not part of the CFP is a downgrade from the playoffs. Every team playing in a bowl game that is not in the CFP would much rather be in the CFP.
