Dunn gets ejected in the Pitt vs Duke game for intentionally hitting a Duke player in the groin.
I mean, you never wanna condone such a heinous act, but if it had to happen to anyone….
What the hell was he thinking?
“Eh just a light little friendly tap there, nothing crazy.”
He was pump-faking molecules…
I’ll see myself out.
A man hitting another man’s groin and on purpose?
If this is a flagrant 2 some of the stuff BYU football players do deserves the death penalty.
For gosh sakes, gird your loins Duke. You can put your fancy silk undies back on after the game.
Of course most basketball fans are astonished that Duke actually has them to foul. Scientific discovery of the year so far. If this is true, then it at least opens up the possibility that A&M football players have hearts and brains.
I happened to click over just as that happened last night - had to rewatch a couple times to believe my eyes.
no - he didn’t “hit him” hard, but wtf was he thinking?
He wasn’t thinking… a common trait of Dunn’s on the basketball court…
He hit his waistband. hard to say thats the groin
Eject him fine…but this is NOT a hit to the groin, neither is it “extreme”. He tapped him on the belt line of his uniform. It’s clear as day in the replay.
Then the Duke player flopped to get the foul.
I feel like I’ve seen this be done by some of our Coogs in the past, think they’re just trying to make the shooter feel their presence without drawing a foul. Dunn’s tap looks like a wrong place, wrong time situation, 99/100 times, both players are jogging back to the other side of the court.
Yes, but hands were placed upon a Duke player. Of course it’s Flagrant 2. I’m surprised the whole Pitt team wasn’t ejected and the program put on double secret probation.
It had to be to the groin to eject him.
Agree, this seems overblown. If the Duke player hadn’t flopped, it likely would have gone unnoticed. He popped up immediately so it’s clear he wasn’t in any pain.
Except it isnt, there is video in this thread.
Lol. People do this in pickup games everywhere.
Weak ass call. But not surprising. Wasn’t a shot to the groin. Dude closed out and touched his waistband.
I’m just stating what rules say. It had to be to eject him (given lack of severity) and I’m guessing that’s why they said it was.
It was clearly waistband. Ejection wasn’t warranted.
Correct.
Unless he had his ding dong taped upwards it was nowhere near the “groin”.
Dunn was playing well up o that point.
Perhaps that’s what they do at Duke.
