The most rushing yards ever by a Coog is 1757 by Robert Newhouse (IMHO the most underappreciated Coog by our fanbase)
EDIT: I assume Newhouse’s 168 yards in the bowl game didn’t count towards that number since bowl stats didn’t count for season yards back then

Clearly Alton is the best back UH has had in awhile. This era of a spread offenses. An SEC RB(could be starting at Alabama) in the Big 12. Pass happy conference. 2000 yards is in his wheel house. If you go check his interviews Alton. He admits he wants to break alot of records. I’m sure Newhouse is on that list of tasks
