Went on secondary market with much different expectations than what I found. $45 cheapest ticket at rice for our game.
You can get tickets from Rice, we are there biggest game.
I would wait them out. 2 years ago, it was the same thing. We stayed in parking lot tailgating, and 20 minutes before game time, was able to buy on
secondary market for $3.00 each.

Rice tickets generally don’t have a ton of secondary market offers in general, largely because scalpers know it’s basically impossible for them to sell above face value, so there aren’t a ton of tickets out there. Most of the tickets on the market are folks that have Rice season tickets and prior obligations, and are probably willing to eat the cost if it doesn’t sell. You’re probably better off just buying directly from Rice most of the time.
Secondary market tickets also tend to be at their peak before the season; the closer the game gets, the more desperate sellers are to recoup anything at all.

They have a history of over charging for our games. Their primary objective is to keep UH fans off their campus.

Rice always tries to screw us on ticket prices. They know 80% of the crowd will be Cougar fans.

Call Keith at the Rice ticket office, 713-348-3103. Tell him you want to donate to the “underserved youth program”. For a $99 donation you can get 4 tickets anywhere in the stadium that is available.

Their primary objective is to make as much money as they can. They would be delighted if UH fans sold the place out. Back in the 60’s and 70’s they would sell out games against LSU and it looked like an LSU home game.
I donated $99 to the “underserved youth program” and received four free tickets on Rice side 50 yard line. This is the way to go if you’re wanting tickets.
