Did UH Legal and Pez get a call from NFL afterall?

How was Madison HS able to wear Oilers knock off jerseys for years without a cease and desist order, or were they issued one?

I doubt they care about a HS team.

The NFL execs are a bunch of sc…gs. As a San Diego Chargers season ticket holders for many years the then San Diego Chargers played very few games wearing the powder blue jerseys. Today the f…g L.A. blip chargers wear the powder blue jersey for their games. Again the NFL could care less about their fans.

Trademark UH Blue

It is a completely different blue. And they never made the distinction saying oilers.

UH better not back down

All I know is that this seems petty when a school wants to pay homage to a past NFL team. Seems like they should like it. Playing greedy does not make me want to support the NFL in any way.

College Football >>>>>>>>> NFL

to add: This is especially true if it is the NFL and not just Bud Adams.

I disagree. No other university has a color named after their street.

Nice !

It’s not just a street!

It’s essentially named after the founder of the University of Houston.

You know the original campus, the art deco buildings near the fountain- Roy Cullen paid for those.

He was so integral to the University’s creation, they offered to name it Cullen University.

He said No…name it after the city of Houston.

So Cullen Blue would not be named after a “street”.

I thought part of the trademark issue is that you have to defend your trademark against any and all infringements?

Not necessarily, however, the less a trademark is enforced, the less strength it has, and over time, it could become generic.
