Do you have the link for this graph ? I would like to see more.
Notice the drop in ~2008 for the green bar ? Assuming that was
recession related, but not sure if Amazon basin was impacted by that or other
political things happening then ?

What does that have to do with milk?
Cows fart
I tend to think we are doing something to accelerate climate change but like said is it a cycle combined with us harming it or just all us? If itâs mostly caused by a cycle then weâre wasting a lot of effort and fighting the wrong animal for nothing. Weâd have to have everyone put aside political and economic biases and get to the truth then simply ask the world if they would give it up or a portion like gas cars to help out or if itâs too much pain giving up gas cars etc. Weâd have to all do it including China and India bc just us doing it hurts only our economy. I read that they would allow developing countries to keep polluting and only hit 1st world countries which wonât work bc itâs unfair.
Youâre always good at first muddling the question and then saying solutions are too hard. Meanwhile the science is obvious and weâre living with the effects of people still trying to figure out if man effects climate change. But like Bush always said while President, more studies are necessary. The delay effort continues
Well milk isnât derived from nearly as complicated industry as the gas industry. Oil companies spend millions drilling and finding nothing so itâs a loss then they try another field and get a hit. The milk industry doesnât have nearly that risk or tax so Iâm against taxing oil more to curtail behavior unless the whole world including India etc give up what we give up in fairness but they wonât. China will keep polluting with all their factories while we tax our businesses out of existence. All in or keep as is unfortunately.
There are ways to unpack a lot of the questions being thrown out and they have been. Itâs not a natural climate cycle.
I understand the industry well.
I just donât understand what you were trying to say in your analogy.
We do need more studies or find the ones that are unbiased then present them then ask the world ok we found the truth and are you willing to initially wait in line for 40 mins to charge your car every 300 miles etc. If we all agree then fine. We simply wait longer for a shipment or take more time getting places. We all want fast , comfort and easiness in this modern world. A plane needs jet fuel and tractors need to be gas for power. Electric isnât as powerful and is inconvenient in time consuming recharging.
Thank you for stating what others are unwilling to
So simply put, climate change may be true but are we all willing to give up things to slow it down? Answer is prob no unfortunately,
Hereâs the thing about the ânatural cycleâ of it was part of it weâd be able to observe and document those drivers. If this was a solar thing weâd be able to discern that by obeservstions of the sun like a solar maximum or minimum in itâs activities. If it was planetary there would be obvious signs like volcanic activity which before us was the main shifter of climates. The planet doesnât just shift itself on a climate level willy nilly. There are reasons.
We currently have none of those. Which can only mean by process of elimination that itâs us.
The biggest oil and gas companies arenât climate change deniers, not anymore anyway.
Iâm really not sure why some refuse to accept any of it.
We have all the data on source of CO2 build up. Itâs burning of fossil fuels and destruction of carbon sinks. That has been studied thoroughly.
As to charging, yes it needs to be done at home, off peak grid hours, or at place of work. For those
that are apartment dwellers and donât use large parking garages while at work, the charging solution is more challenging.
Charging isnât an issue for the vast majority of drivers.
Charging is a pain and itâs already a hassle and wait till we all need to charge our cars. Stations will have people waiting and frustrated. Most people with an electric car only use it on the city but they have the other gas car for longer trips so itâs a work around to avoid the true hassle of all people going full blown electric with no gas cars. People can at least get gas before a storm but wait till a storm hits and power is out. People will be late to work more often with electric bc unlike a fast refill of gas it will be well I had to wait 40 mins for a charge bc yes I failed to charge last night.
It works now bc people are hybrid with gas and electric and not all are going the Tesla route.
The vast majority of people will charge every night and not have to deal with that. People wonât be late for work. They will get in their fully charged car in the morning and plug it back in at night. Itâs really not hard.
Yes it would be a pain for most in power outages. Itâs also not ideal for long trips. Thatâs pretty clear exceptions to the rule though.
The climate changes in the distant past occurred over thousands of years, not in 150, with nature adapting to the changes incrementally. Yes, there have been brief episodes of climate change, primarily due to naturally occurring phenomenon to which man and nature adjusted in conjunction with the brief period.
If youâre relying on the end of the Ice Age 20,000 years ago, well thatâs the reality in which humanity has thrived. Just as modern science analyzes, constructs and forecasts scientific realities with almost perfect precision, their forecast of the continuance of global warming at its current rate is not a good one. Stack every vehicle and coal- burning energy plant that has operated over the last 50 years on top of each other and imagine the CO2 eruption.
In the last 50 years, carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions have increased dramatically, from 6 billion tonnes in 1950 to over 35 billion tonnes annually today. This increase is primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal and oil for energy, which releases carbon that plants once removed from the atmosphere through photosynthesis.
Plants canât process the current level of CO2. The oceans have maxed out on their ability to absorb it producing the increase in water temperatures. Reef bleaching is actually reef dying with increased water temperatures the executioner. Reefs, the breeding ground for ocean life.
You think agriculture is just going to maintain as usual? All the ignorance about inflation. Heard a beef industry expert on the radio last year that cited beefâs price rise on the lower grain crop yields in Texas. Last summerâs hellish experience. Doesnât happen in a straight lines like moving a thermostat, but hottest temperatures in history have been pretty much recorded in the last 10-15 years.
In the 60âs and 70s there were some cooling trend theories out there.
You can kinda see why in the graph I posted. Didnât play out that way.
Not to mention a gallon of gas is often cheaper than a gallon of milk.
Pretty much always. Analogy falls apart.
