How does this work for scholarships? Does he still count as a scholarship used until the transfer is complete, or does it open up immediately upon entering the portal?
Probably doesn’t fit the new defensive scheme.
Scholarship is good through the end of the semester.

I guess the first few days of spring practice didn’t go well for him.
Sounds like it, it happens. When things change sometimes it doesn’t work out for people. Best of luck to the young man in finding a new home that’s better for him.

I do think he wasn’t catching on as well as he should and that probably he’s more a 3-4 DE than a 4-3 DT. I had hoped he would develop and be a good one for us, but we should have Aymiel Fleming, Payton Turner, Atlias Bell, Blake Young, Noah Jones, and maybe Willie Smith, depending on how big he’s gotten and where they are playing him. So DT ought to be among our best, deepest positions regardless of whether Brown is with us or not.

This transfer portal is one of the most powerful tools the student athlete has received from the NCAA and they are using it.
I love it for basketball. It evens up the field, and can be used as free agency.
