It’s weird watching him play QB. There is no swag or ownership/leadership of the offense.

He honestly looks like another position player on offense and not the QB of this team.

But I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt in that he’s on his third offense in 3 years, missing all of spring, and Barbary’s head scratching play calling this season.

That being said, Donovan Smith has zero ‘IT’ factor.

Where do you get he is starting??? Coach Fritz made a point of saying we are having a QB competition this week, and he said it for a reason. We will know who the starter is at the end of the week, AFTER this competition coach has for the QBs
I am willing to bet it wont be Smith

Before the Cincinnati game they put our a two deep depth chart, but there were changes in the starting lineup. I don’t think we will really know who is going to start until game time.

It has to be a practice thing. I don’t see a world were you don’t let the 3rd guy get a shot unless he stinks behind the scenes.

Still, if he could at least get us in FG range every other drive we might be more competitive. Lol
