I predict 4 Teams are in as of now:
ECU- 1 Seed
UCONN- 1 Seed
USF-- 2 Seed
UH – 2 or 3 Seed
UCF-- 50/50% whether they get in.
I can’t see UCF making it at this point. They needed to win at least 1-2 games in the tourney and they went 2 and out.
I think UCONN hosting is 50/50. They’ve got a good RPI, but they’ve got some bad losses on their resume as well. I think if they had beaten ECU yesterday, they might have gotten the nod, but I think they end up as a 2 seed instead.
I think we’re going to be a 3 seed. RPI is a little too high to be a 2 seed. Doesn’t really matter though, just hope we end up in a good regional.
When are regional hosts announced? Won’t they be announced today, then brackets tomorrow?
The main Show is tomorrow 11:00 Central–ESPNU.
Think you may be right where they announce the 8 Natl Seeds night before but not all 16 Regional Host.
So after today’s gms it could be we know tonight the 8 teams assured of hosting Super Regionals based on they winning their Regional of course.
Remember that the NCAA is seeding 1-16 this year. They’ve done away with the concept of the protected 8.
Law, correct w the 1-16 seeding taking place. But still in place is what they call 8 Natl Seeds for Supers. The diff now as you bring up if ea region has #1seed win respective region , overall #1 Natl seed will play #16, #2 will play #15 where in past they connected 2 regions based on geographical makeup. Ex TCU vs Tx A&M, Fl vs Fl ST etc. Not case anymore.
You and I are saying the same thing in different ways. Too bad this system wasn’t in place in 2002 - we sure as hell wouldn’t have been sent to ASU, and paired with Texas.
Unbelievable…the damn horns are hosting, so we know where we are going (to get screwed).
We can beat them if we hit the baseball
I’m think UH #3 in Austin w/Aggies as #2.
Burrell and Lewis are the only modern-era UH coaches who might ever make such a statement.
We all could do more to support their program.
They have the best chance of winning a Natl Champ of any of the UH sports.
Couldn’t agree more. I’m hoping they stay and win UH several national championships.
