Eat 'Em Up (Pat)

I found this old thread that has some good stories and expands on his Dallas hate, which I love. :slightly_smiling_face:

It would be just as nice if they would create a site and encourage senior Coog fans to share their stories/adventures/knowledge with us younger guys,

He’d give you the Navy blue jacket off his back. He wore that thing EVERYWHERE. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Loved Los Tios, I love Tony’s. Didn’t care - drove in to meet me just to talk Coogs.

He always said I reminded him so much of himself, if only! I make it to 98.

Take care of yourselves and focus on health. I don’t know if Pat did or was a product of great DNA but incredible to live that long and still be so active. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe Pat once said the secret to his success was never getting married.

I still remember walking into Fertita Center for the first time and Pat was the first fan I saw. He was not happy about the lack of accessibility to handicap parking.

This is very sad news to hear. To say he was a great Coog is an understatement.

He was a wealth of knowledge, a pleasure to be around, funny and lovable as all get out, respectful, kind, and enjoyed living life to the fullest. Probably the best role model I’ve ever met of what it means to be a proud Houston Cougar.

Pat was an absolute one of a kind and will be dearly missed. Condolences to the family.

I didn’t know Mr. Moran, but always enjoyed his posts. Rest in peace sir, Godspeed.

No sir. Besides a grapefruit in the morning he ate what he wanted. :person_shrugging::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. Stayed up till 3am researching woke up around noon. Simply amazing man.

His favorite thing to say was that only the good die young so that makes me pretty bad.
My best friend, there will never be another one like him. I will miss him immensely
