Almost the exact opposite of another AAC coach making news cycles this week :joy:

Carlton was headed to ECU before UH offered?

“We weren’t brought into the AAC for hoops. The Temples, Memphis, and to less extent Wichita’s haven’t carried their weight. Cincy of late too.”

As great as the AAC has been in football, It has been a massive disappointment for basketball. Which is surprising given that most of the schools had good basketball pedigrees. Can’t explain Temple, they have a great history. Memphis is a cluster. Wichita State and Cincinnati are overcoming disastrous coaching situations. Tulsa, Tulane and SMU have resources to compete but have been mediocre. The Florida schools have generally disappeared. ECU??

If anybody has a ticket they aren’t using let me know.

Be careful about your complaints. ECU may decide to show up today.

It seems like Memphis and SMU only shows up to play us. For some reason, it seems like they get extra motivated to play us

I count only about 62 tickets available for the game today, not counting single seats. $45 for a ticket is kind of steep if your a family with a budget. Family of 4 looking at $200. However, perhaps we have a sellout today? We are really close.

The Tulsa game ended close but we built a 17 point halftime lead and after a slow start to the 2nd half had built the lead back to 11 points late in the game. They had a barage of BS threes that went in late in the game to make it interesting.
Kudos to Horne who has always been a competitor but now finally seems to be in better shape.

I’m glad he’s doing the call and is a big proponent of UH Basketball. I just needed something to complain about

But you can bet they will say “Houston, we have a problem
”

Their 3 point shot was hot in the 2nd half against us
Similar to ECU last year but we weathered the storm against Tulsa.

We are the University of the City of Houston
NOT Texas
why do we keep forcing the state into our athletics ?

If anything, the STATE OF TEXAS underfunds and undervalued us.

Yet
I bet a City of Houston flag is nowhere in the Fertitta Center. I have seen our football team run out on the field holding the Houston flag. THAT flag should be on out helmet
not the Texas flag!

We just don’t have Texas anywhere in the name of our University!
