Ed Oliver Is Ridiculously Dominant

On one particular play, I remember Oliver dropping from his nose tackle position into the flat and then proceeding to chase down the ball carrier. I had to collect myself and then remind myself that A). He is only a freshman and B). He’s a freaking defensive tackle!

Watched one pass play they had 3 lineman blocking him. What are teams gonna do when he has a few years experience?

On the play last night that Nomluis Fruge got the sack, I saw Ed shuck his blocker from the middle of the defensive line and chase Shirreffs down in the flats. He got there a fraction of a second behind Fruge. To think that Ed was in position to get that sack from where he started is (a) amazing and (b) flat out unfair to opposing offenses. This guy is a legitimate freak of nature. The only other defensive lineman I’ve been this fired up about watching is JJ Watt. Their games are pretty similar. If we are somehow able to land K’Lavon Chaisson and/or Dylan Moses, I can’t even wrap my mind around how good our front 7 will be.

I love that picture. Ed Oliver tackling Baker Mayfield with his index finger.

That’s ridiculous lol

I remember watching the Oklahoma game on TV and was hosting a watch party. I noticed what Ed was doing and started specifically watching him… I pointed it out to the folks at the watch party… And that’s when our minds started being blown. Ed was knocking blue chip senior O-linemen on their arses. Not figuratively… but LITERALLY. I have never seen anything like it.
