Plus the blue UH Baseball hats are

I see y point but how about just the blue oiler for 1 home game. Forget the black jerseys etc for the other games.
I think that boils down to merch sales if the alternates are so selling well we’ll continue to see variants that bring in money.
It’s a short list of schools who can merch exclusively on their traditional color schemes only.
I don’t follow college baseball at all so I have no idea as to whether or not Davis was a good hire. I know we should always give a new coach at least a season or two to turn a program around. I also know that regardless of who was hired, there would be someone, or a few, on here that would complain about it. I’m for giving the guy a reasonable chance and enough time to get his stamp on our team,
If you think LSU keeps to yellow and purple, you need to walk through a Rally House east of the Sabine
Didn’t want to watch the video, but does he get into specifics on merchandise sales ?
Like what were the sales numbers in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 so far ? Or is
he just calling it a success without providing any data.
Thanks in advance.
Nunez does provide some statistics.
The biggest growth was in 2025 due to the F4, and another big year of growth from 25-26 due to FB. I think 24-25 beat 25-26 though, I could be wrong or misremembering things.
I heard something about merchandise starting around 28th minute to 32nd. Sounded
like he said we had the largest growth rate in Texas in that area…but that’s not saying
much really. Skipped around in the video, but didn’t hear any merchandise sales numbers in dollars. May have missed it.

Just passing by.
Eddie says in the interview he got an email from UH Licensing Team last Friday that indicated the buying target for merch is 9x YOY, meaning stores that carry UH merch are buying 9x more UH merch from one year to the next. It’s probably due to a multitude of factors: B12, winning, the Athletic Department stressing more merch sales, Houston Blue, Black, and good old scarlet and white.
At the risk of annoying the traditionalist, of which I am one, “Viva la Houston Blue!”
I like ideas that know who UH is and make UH money.
Maybe Target has decided to stock our stuff in more then just the Super stores
Yep. Almost every retailer (WalMart, Academy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, etc) I’ve asked has told me that the blue UH merch is what sells the fastest & seems to be the most popular.
The specialty blue games bring in a lot of dough for the University. It’s a month where the school reaps cash. Massive sales numbers.
Yeah, the blue jerseys has been both a financial and PR success, y’all need to just get over it.
He also mentioned season ticket sales are up, which by itself is a huge win because this year we have nothing that compares to Colorado and Tech as far as an away team draw.
The 2027 season is very attractive. UH needs to cash in.
We should pull out those jerseys and wear them as much as possible. That way ‘the curse’ dies.
Oh… I LOVE the PSJs…
And I don’t believe in curses (however I do believe in bad luck)…
But if ANY jersey is cursed it’s that jersey.
I love the PSJ uni. And I don’t believe in curses. People forget there are a ton more highlights than lowlights. Remember UH beating Louisville, and the “Doctors of Dunk”, in the NCAA Semifinal dunkathon? Or UH beating Virginia and 3x NCAA POY Ralph Sampson? Or Reid Gettys hitting 10 consecutive FTs against Boston College, in the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight? To me, that PSJ jersey represents a lot of NCAA Tournament wins.
Let’s accurately celebrate the PSJ jersey’s history, rather than single out one bad performance.
