Edwards

I hear lots saying Fabian and Sasser have to be the leaders. I agree but even at this early stage I think Edwards should assert himself as well. He was a star player for an excellent program. His resume will include two of the finest collegiate coaches in the country. There’s no doubt in my mind that the team should capitalize on his maturity and experience.

I expect by mid-season he will have asserted himself as floor leader and a calming presence in tight games.

I think playing with a new cast contributed to his shooting issues. I think as the season goes on Edwards will feel more comfortable and his shooting will be an asset.

Yes. And maybe we’ll see some tricks he learned at Tech to get us over the hump in close games. He’s already demonstrated point blank that he’s a Coog-level rebounder. That is immediate street cred in this program.

The 11 rebounds was a good sign. Where he can impact winning even if his shot isn’t falling.

I thought he took some contested shots early in the shot clock on Tuesday

As a transfer. Buying in on defense, not turning the ball over alot. Those of the things that would worry me.

Putting in extra work with Coach Q, the shot will get better

It looks like he is more of a set shooter than a guy who can get his shot on his own or off the dribble.

The biggest thing he needed to work on was his rebounding. It appears he is coachable and had listened. Great start for Edwards but it can take some time for a shooter to adjust to playing how we play all the time.

Sexed?

That was interesting word change. Cannot even recall what it was supposed to be.
Funny enough to keep it there but going to change it. :joy:
