When I first heard about the quake I wondered about TSMC and possibly implications
of computer chip supply chain disruptions again. Could be a big deal …or not. Still
probably too early to understand if they will be down. I’ve no idea what world inventory stockpile
is for these chips or even if there is an inventory.
Looks like we dodged a bullet. They were prepared all along and re-started the Fabs mere hours after the earthquake. My future iPhone 16 is safe.
