I’ve been following what the “top” analyst were saying about Tesla just a week
ago. Upgrading from hold to buy, setting price target at $388, “table pounder”, the
DOGE exposure was overstated, etc. Quoting the massive upside potential in “ the list of potential game-changing level catalysts across, EV, autonomous vehicles, and robotics are robust enough to tilt risk/reward favorably.”
So my point, take all analyst opinions with a grain of salt. They may yet be right
long term, but if acted on their recommendations last week, you would be hurting
now.
So if we follow Musks logic with Ukraine and Russia. Musk said Ukraine cyberattacked X (without proof) but if that was the case with his logic Musk should just accept the hack and turn over 50% of X to Ukraine. Right? Am I doing Musk logic right?

Sorry, the people who now find Musk distasteful and no longer see their Tesla as a status symbol and are selling them are waking up to the fact that EVs have horrible resale values.
Buy dumb things because you think they are going to make you look a certain way…always ends the same way.
No vitriol from me pal. Buy as many Teslas as you want. I don’t think you should get taxpayers help to do it but if you feel you are saving the planet by buying one…God speed, spend all of your money.
Regardless of political affiliation, I don’t get the point of selling your car because you disagree with Musk. If you’re selling, someone else is buying, and it only affects his pocketbook to whatever extent having cheaper resale models on the market affects the price of a new one (at this scale, probably negligibly). I mean, it’s a free market, so if folks got it like that and want to waste money to virtue signal, more power to them (and I mean that sincerely) but it doesn’t strike me as a particularly effective protest.
Maybe it’s to avoid the potential of your car getting vandalized and public attacks. Teslas
already had a problem about being keyed from one side; now they can expect the same
from the other side.
I’m starting to believe that too. In the worlds
largest market for cars , China, they are seeing steep declines in sales and will struggle to keep up with BYD. That leaves
EU and US markets. Seeing intense hate there for the CEO, and Americas is not much better.
