Emanuel Sharp - appreciation post

Last game at Fertita Center for Emanuel Sharp.

One of my all time favorites.

○From watching his rehab videos with Alan Bishop in 2022.

○To hitting some big shots as a freshman vs 16 seed Northern Kentucky in the NCAA tournament

○Dropping 30+ pts against A&M in an OT win as a sophomore

○Being the Big12 Tournament MVP as a junior.

○And now his Senior Night.

Special Player. Great kid. Thank you Emanuel!

A true leader to the entire squad. An example for our freshmen. Later on I have no doubt he will make a great HC. His superior basketball IQ is there for all to see. His parents must be so proud.

I’ll say Aggie game at Toyota center is one of my favorite memories. There’s a ton to be honest, but that’s one I think of off the top of my head.

He’s been my favorite player for a while. Love how hard he plays, and his play making ability. One of the greats!!!

Emanuel Sharp epitomizes the UH culture. A four star recruit out of Florida, signed with UH and was redshirted his first year, recovering from a serious leg injury he received in high school that required extensive rehabilitation. Sharp contributed his redshirt freshman year and became more involved in the offense his sophomore and junior years, and earned the title of team leader his senior year. He has battled through injuries and competition for playing time over the years. Certainly a role model for UH’s younger players

Not my all time favorite, but Sharp’s steal from his butt in the Kansas game last year certainly is up there.

Too many to choose from. Super ($harp $hooter as someone says) player, teammate, and human being. It’s been a privilege to watch him. He’ll succeed at life.

In the new era of college basketball the 4,5 or 6 year player era is over. Players that don’t play much early and improve every year to become good college players will be a thing of the past. Guys like Sharp and Roberts will go by the wayside.

Not at Houston.
