Expect a YouTube TV price increase going to ESPN.

signed up for Sling weekend pass 2 hours ago, that f’ing figures lol
I want my $10.81 back…
Absolutely.
Exactly what I’m expecting will happen. Hulu + Live TV regular price is $97.41 when all is said and done.
I like that Sling lets you have a one day or weekend subscription. I’m not sure what networks are available, but it’s a good idea though (a wink to other streaming services). ![]()
I get Hulu plus espn+ and Disney for one price, going back to YouTube tv is more. While I love YTTV’s interface a million times more than Hulu…it takes 2 extra seconds to find what I’m looking for. Yes I realize this is what Mickey wanted me to do
YouTube TV + ESPN Select (annual price) made my TV bill around $100.67/month.
YouTube TV: $89.84
ESPN Select Annual: $129.99 ($10.83/month)
Hulu + Live TV is $97.41 after the 3 month promotion. I know since this is what they charged me. I called and got it worked out. The price on my card is now $70.35 ($64.99 + tax) and will be for the next two charges.
Note: They said I didn’t qualify for the $64.99 promotion because I already had an ESPN account. They were cool and just “canceled” my old account and created a new one so I got the promotion and they refunded the $97.41.
Quasi related, last night I noticed ESPN+ games in my DirecTV channel guide, out of curiosity, I selected the TAMU- UCF MBB game and it functioned.
I have the ESPN+ app, but that is via the Amazon Firestick, I thought it was interesting. I’ll attach a picture of what it looked like this morning.
Turned it off in the middle of football season for a big money grab. That’s sorry.
I don’t know all the details, but taking the consumer lenses off and appreciating the foresight to have renewal negotiations/contracts during a time of leverage is shrewd.
Best news today!
I assume they are going to do the same to YouTube TV. It makes ESPN+ games more accessible without subscribing to a separate app.
