Why commit to 2046 for this amount of $ ?
Penn State and USC also not feeling it.
Glad to see Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, and USC are supporting their little brothers. No looking out for number there.
Saw this tweet from Cody Campbell reacting to Mike Lombardi traveling to Saudi Arabia looking for foreign investors for the North Carolina football program. I am not in favor of college sports aligning with private equity and I am sure as hxll not in favor of college sports aligning financially with foreign investors.

This is inevitable.
I canāt see it leading to a breakaway (Football programs disconnecting from Universities) because the entire reason these programs are supported is due to its relationship with the universities.
But yeah, itās inevitable.
You cant say that when the biggest heavy hitter schools in the BIG come out and say no, they dont want it. They can talk all they want, but i dont think theyll do it.
At the conference level, sure.
At the individual program level, thereās nothing stopping Saudi Arabia with getting involved with UNC football.
If Private Equity canāt get involved with conferences, then they will just get involved with individual programs.
