Everybody's favorite ex-head coach has a new gig!

His first broadcast will be the UNT-SMU game. 2022 is the gift that keeps on giving.

LTH is so well loved at SMU, I’m sure he will be very appreciated by their fans.

He seems particularly ill-suited for that sort of job.

How humbling it must be.

He’ll do okay. But I don’t think he’ll ever be more than a color guy.

That’s pretty much what all ex players, ex coaches do when they choose to enter into the Broadcasting biz is be an analyst . Being a Announcer-- PbP Is a whole another level and most went to School for that purpose.

I hope he doesn’t work any of our games.

…wonder if he’ll kiss the crew pre show???

Interesting that he didn’t wind up as an analyst somewhere. Even Major Applewhite was able to get a gig fetching Nick Saban’s coffee and doughnuts for a while.

I would watch all of Herman’s broadcasts though if they had a twitch-cam!

EDIT: coaching analyst I mean

My hope is that he soon has to do a pre game interview with CDH. The first question should be “Well Dana, is this your dream job or is it just a stepping stone?”

CBSSN has carried a few UH games the last few years. So maybe we’ll get to hear him.

How many times is someone going to say, “Hey Tom, you’re in MENSA, what’s your take on……?

Of course, he’ll be nothing more than a color guy. Most play-by-play guys have college degrees in broadcasting (I said most, not all), and most color guys are former players and/or coaches.
