Is it just me, or do others dislike putting post under an excessively long post title? So much current information gets lost in the 1K plus post! I’d much rather see a titled post for each poster. I could then decide if I wanted to read the post or scroll on. As it is, too much information goes unobserved because of the drudgery of looking through humongous topics which vary from the subject of the original title.

I’m not quite sure if I follow how that would look. It seems like you’d have a million separate single posts in that scenario.

Absolutely agree. I used to love coming here to get the latest news. Those days are long gone, as you have to sift through 5,000 posts all under the same 5 topics. Get a new boom, no longer can we get an individual post highlighting the kid. Instead we have to sift through countless posts on one drawn out 2027 recruiting thread if you want to find it. It’s been brought it to the moderators attention more than once. Ultimately it’s their website, so it’s their rules… but I sure miss the old format.

Oh… so you guys’ problem is with the thread merging…
Yeah… that’s a live one there… but it looks like it’s here to stay unfortunately.
On that note… mods, can you merge to the original merge thread… 
I feel like I’ve lost this one. So have at it - we won’t merge threads anymore unless there are obvious candidates for it (2-3 on the same recruit committing, for instance).

meh, I don’t mind the long threads on one topic. I keep up with the topic.
When you put thread killers on ignore, it’s easy to keep up with pertinent posts.

Yeah i was never in favor of merging threads. It deadens the board and i absolutely hate sifting through 1K posts to read what was relevant.
