Soccer is amazing, especially when Liverpool is doing well.
ouch, ManU futbol reminds me of USC football lol
When I was younger I did not care for soccer at all.
I had the same opinions as many did….slow, boring, etc.
Then about 15-20 years I started paying attention to our National Team….I slowly started learning the game.
I started following the National team players and what club they played for and the league.
I have really come to appreciate the intricacies of the game and the level it’s played at depending on the league.
Several years ago I started watching the Premier League very regularly….i decided I would pick one team and follow that club….I chose Nottingham Forest….this season has been really fun to watch!
I can not watch any MLS at all….once you regularly watch the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, , etc. Then watching MLS is just garbage.
Anyway, I have become a fan of fu’tbol around the world.
guyysss… don’t do this
Eh. I see MLS as similar to being a fan of NPB or the KBO. When the best leagues are half a world away, you kinda take what you can get. Games are still fun, and watching players move through my local org gives me an overseas rooting interest, even if the quality of play is relatively low — it’ll probably scratch my college football itch once ESPN kills what’s left of my interest in this sport.
I have a few buddies who are into soccer so I did the same - chose Tottenham (they are ManU fans). I like that the games are on at 6:30am all morning on the weekends (Im an early riser)
pretty fun to watch what Nottingham has done since moving up
….give it a try.
I really thought they were just kind of lucky for the first few weeks….but they are legit and do it without a “huge” star.
They are the definition of “playing like a team”. If they make Champions league I’m gonna lose my sh-t….seriously.
Go on You Reds!
While I grew up with Liga MX, euro footy is miles ahead of it.
I’m telling you guys if we keep doing this people are going to start talking about all their favorite “sides” and dropping goofy team slogans “stickledaubers up blokes!” and calling soccer “footy”. Guys please let’s stop before any of that starts.
Should be an automatic one week ban for talking soccer on the ‘football’ board
el clasico is on right now , fantastic week indeed
both Nottingham and Tottenham advance in the FA Cup @Pollardsvision
Yes sir.
Little bit easier game for the “Trees” than the Spurs.
extra time against a team I’ve never heard of in a high school sized stadium… but a W is a W lol
Yes, but I’m talking about next week!
yeahhhhhh
I attended a few hs playoff soccer games that were very entertaining last year.
The only soccer I like is when international teams play.
The 3 times I’ve been to Cancun I’ve played soccer with people from various countries there at my resort. I never played soccer for a team so I prefer to encourage them to walk over and play basketball. I played with folks who were good at both sports but normally others aren’t as good at basketball as soccer.
