FBI Discover Kidnapper After 30 Years

"The capture of a convicted rapist after three decades on the run from the police has stunned a small Iowa community where he was seen as a mentor to generations of teenagers at a “homeless mansion” in the woods.

George Hartleroad’s arrest in West Des Moines made national headlines due to its innocuous spark: officers stopped him in the street on June 26 for riding a bike without reflectors. Body-camera video released this week shows the officers telling Hartleroad the name he had given them belonged to a dead man, at which point he reveals his true identity and fugitive status."

Crazy stuff.

I’m so disillusioned right now. If you can’t trust a homeless guy who condones the use of illegal narcotics and alcohol by minors in and around his transient dwelling in the woods, who can you trust?

now that this story has gain traction nationwide, every cop is going to start questioning every homeless person out there…

Five years for what he did? And parents let their kids hang out with someone who lets them drink alcohol? Astounding.
