agree…i have no problem with their ranking, as it was deservedly top 10…waste of time to carry on about top 4 playoff spot because their schedule simply wouldnt allow for it…Pretty sure if you asked them, they are delighted to play on new years and get a victory over Auburn. There will never be a G5 team in the playoff as it is now…they will always be excluded…Another reason why we are working hard to get into PAC 12 or rebuilt Big 12 come 2023 or there abouts…one more round of re alignment is coming, FOR SURE.
What rank did Applewhite get us?
Not sure if you meant to not count Navy. Even with a bad finish, they had some very respectable games. Their 3 seasons in the conference have definitely not weighed the conference down.
It has been clear for quite some time that the AAC can play with the P5s.
Are we supposed to be happy or surprised in 2017 that we “somehow” managed to do it again?

I like how TCU’s strength of schedule was weaker than UCF.
