Final UH-Tulane matchup for the foreseeable future, end of an era

Didn’t realize how much recent history UH and Tulane have had with each other.

I’d like to keep playing Tulane.

I believe that our first team to finish the season in the Top 10 ended the season with a blowout Bluebonnet Bowl win in 1973 over then #15 ranked Tulane.

Of course, we’ve also been in two conferences together since then.

We played Tulane to open the 1968 season.

Was the debut of Elmo Wright.

Do not remember the final score but it was a crushing win. Elmo went wild.

The very next week we went to Austin.
